The project is an ambitious initiative to fully decarbonize a cement plant in Belgium. This groundbreaking project involves deploying innovative carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies, including an air-oxyfuel switchable kiln with carbon purification technology.

As the Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the realization of the new clinker production line, integral to the project’s success. Reporting directly to the Clinker Line Project Director, you will oversee the entire construction site, ensuring the efficient and safe execution of the project. This role requires a dynamic leader capable of managing complex industrial construction activities within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct and oversee the construction of the new clinker production line, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
• Manage the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contract for the first package, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Coordinate stakeholder management, maintaining clear and effective communication with all project stakeholders.
• Ensure the rigorous implementation of safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety throughout the construction site.
• Oversee the proper management of the corporate base camp, civil, mechanical, and electrical streams, ensuring efficient and effective execution.
• Lead the project team, providing guidance and support to ensure the achievement of project milestones.
• Monitor and report on the progress of the construction activities to the Project Director and other stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges that may impact the project timeline or budget.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing large-scale industrial construction projects (with budgets of €200M or more).
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team of professionals.
• Comprehensive understanding of EPC contracts and experience in managing such contracts.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Proficiency in French and English is required.
• Experience in the cement industry is highly desired, providing valuable insight and expertise to this specific project.

Expérience : 5 ans minimum

Dîplôme : BAC +2/3 minimum
