Raoul, Deputy site manager in Albania

Alstom GE has won a contract of approximately €100m with the Norwegian company Statkraft for the supply and installation of 6 French turbo generators and auxiliary units at its subsidiary in Albania. The Devoll Hydro Power project is a company responsible for the construction of new hydroelectric power plants on the Devoll River in southern Albania.

The contract also includes the commissioning of two 220 kV and 110 kV high-voltage substations, as well as hydraulic steelwork such as gates, penstocks, stops and rubbish traps. I occupy the position of deputy site manager within this major project. This involves management of the various internal teams and subcontractors and management of the site logistics such as materials, cranes, transport, etc. In addition, I am in charge of respect for safety and quality standards at the project site, respect for deadlines and budget, as well as regular reporting to the project managers. Finally, the deputy site manager has to manage and consolidate the teams’ schedules.

In terms of experience, I feel strongly integrated in the international context through the expert contribution of Atyx, “able to manage the multicultural aspect” (25 nationalities). In addition, Atyx brings “strong added value in terms of structuring and steering planning, for both the project and the site, the implementation and improvement of the management dashboards”. Besides, Atyx performs strongly regarding the introduction of Lean Management through LPS (the Last Planner System is the tool that links the philosophy of Lean management and the construction industry).
